The buildings are designed in a fine grain of smaller units spread across the site to create a farm yard and community village ambiance. The building architecture will be integrated with a network of continuous pedestrian links, fragmented parking areas with trees for shade and the landscape access roads for direction & organisation. This style of architrecture will be a contemporary interpretation of the scale and fabric, fitting for this town steeped in history, yet progressing with time. Subtle use of natural materials & elements will lend to a contemporary Cape Vernacular barn style. A restaurant courtyard, in the format of a mini village square, at the southern end of the retail centre, will create a sence of place to gather and be seen.
